Voting signs decorate city hall in Fort Oglethorpe on Monday, Feb. 25, the first day of early voting in the election for a new city council member. Election superintendent Orma Luckey said 33 people cast their ballots Monday in the election for a new council member for Ward 5. A special election is being held to fill the unexpired term of Eddie Stinnett, who died in November. Two candidates, Judd Burkhart and Clay Kissner, are running for the post. Early voting continues through March 15. Election day is March 19.
