According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office:
Terry Lebron Harris, 26, of Fourth Avenue was arrested March 8, stemming from a domestic disturbance call that occurred last summer.
On Aug. 8, 2012, deputies responded to a Straight Street residence after a woman called 911 to report the incident. According to her statement, Harris became mad at 12:54 that day.
The situation escalated as Harris grabbed the woman’s shirt and pulled her around to the front yard during the assault.
She got in her vehicle to get away from Harris, only to have him throw a bottle, which busted the rear window of the 1999 Dodge Caravan that she owned.
The woman called the 911 operator from a neighbor’s home.
Deputies noticed the torn clothing and several scratches on the woman’s neck.
Harris fled the scene as the woman called 911 and a warrant was filed for his arrest at that time. He was arrested months later, on March 8, 2013.
According to the report, there is a long history of violence involving Harris.
He was released on a $6,000 bond and faces charges of battery and first-degree damage to property.
