A wreck on Battlefield Parkway in Catoosa County Thursday afternoon left one man dead.

According to Georgia State Patrol dispatcher Josh Elleman, with the patrol’s Dalton post:

Jimmy Cardin Jr., 59, of Ringgold was ejected from his 2008 Ford Ranger after hitting the back of a truck carrying a trailer near the intersection of Three Notch Road.

The Ranger jackknifed and went into the other lane. This caused two other vehicles to be involved in the accident.

The wreck blocked all six lanes of Battlefield Parkway.
