Electronics, jewelry stolen from Rossville residence

A Rossville woman reported more than $3,000 worth of items stolen from her residence.

According to Walker County Sheriff’s Department reports:

Sometime between July 3 at 6:30 p.m. and July 4 at 5 a.m., someone broke into the woman’s residence on Corbley Road.

The woman discovered the back door to her kitchen was cracked open and the window had been busted out.

She then discovered that her 60-inch television and 32-inch television, Sony laptop, various jewelry, Toshiba DVD player and another DVD player, one Panasonic speaker and one Xanax had been stolen from her residence.

The woman said her Buddha doll had been stolen, but was later found on the floor broken.

The estimated total of items stolen and broken are $3,051.

14 tires stolen from Walker County transportation department

A man from the Walker County transportation department in Chickamauga said someone broke the chain at the south gate of the shop and stole 14 tires.

According to Walker County Sheriff’s Department reports:

Sometime between July 2 at 2 p.m. and July 6 at 5:30 p.m., someone broke into the shop and stole 10 Continental 11R 22.5 black tires and 4 Continental 900R 22.5 black tires.

Estimated value of the tires is $3,396.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department can offer a reward for information if it leads to an arrest. The reward amount is based on the nature of the crime(s) involved.
