Jimmy Andy Payne, 40, of 427 McDonald Drive, was arrested Monday morning at his home on one count each of rape and child molestation, Catoosa County Sheriff Phil Summers said.
“The investigation began after the parents of a victim reported an incident which occurred at the Payne residence,” Summers said. “The sheriff’s office has identified 10 victims and have infor-mation of possible other victims in this case.”
Summers said the department’s investigation of the case is ongoing.
“We anticipate additional charges once the case is presented to a Catoosa County grand jury,” the sheriff said.
Payne is being held without bond at the Catoosa County Detention Center.
In an unrelated child molestation case, the sheriff’s department arrested James Lee Lowery, also of Rossville, on Feb. 27. Lowery was arrested on five counts of child molestation, one count of aggravated child molestation and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
Lowery is also being held without bond at the Catoosa County Detention Center
