The award is presented to a citizen of Walker County who has performed meritorious service above and beyond what would be expected of a citizen. All nominees must reside in Walker County and only extraordinary service to the community within the past five years will be taken into consideration.
The recipient will be honored at the 2008 Walker County Gala to be held on Aug. 23 at the Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office or on the Chamber’s website
at http://www.walkercochamber.com/citizenoftheyear.htm . Nominations must be turned in by Aug. 8.
