Hudgens new vice president-commercial lender and manager at Hamilton Place branch
Bobby Hudgens has been named vice president-commercial lender and branch manager of Northwest Georgia Bank’s Hamilton Place branch. He has worked as vice president-commercial lender at the Fort Oglethorpe branch since joining Northwest in February 2000.
In 1981, he joined American National Bank as a manager trainee. From 1985-95, he served as manager of First Tennessee Bank in East Ridge. In 1995, he joined AmSouth as branch manager, quickly promoting to business banker and in 1997 moved to Cornerstone Commu-nity Bank as vice president-commercial lender.
A baseball and football scholarship athlete, Hudgens graduated in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He was also a scholarship athlete in both sports while attending Vanderbilt University in 1974-75. He has coached girls’ fast-pitch softball with the Frost Falcons organization since 1998 and in 2006 was inducted into the Greater Area Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame for fast-pitch softball. He is a past president of the David Brainerd Christian School Booster Club.
An East Ridge native, Hudgens and his wife Stephanie live in Ooltewah. Their three daughters are Sheena, Christian and Lauren.
Martin named new manager at Ooltewah-Collegedale branch
Northwest Georgia Bank named Cheryl Martin as assistant vice president-branch man-ager of the Ooltewah-Collegedale branch. In the banking industry since 1979, she has worked at Northwest since 2005, first as manager of the community bank’s main office and of the Hamilton Place branch since opening.
Martin volunteers for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and Friends of East Brainerd, supporting events like Reality Check, Operation Thank You, Hubfest and Bark in the Park. She has served as a volunteer instructor at East Brainerd Elementary School for Junior Achievement of Chattanooga.
