
J. B. Blankenship, an FFA member and agriculture education student at LaFayette High School competes against 26 other teams in the North Georgia Regional Agricultural Education Tractor Operations and Maintenance Career Development Event (CDE) at Sonoraville High School. “This event is designed by the National FFA Organization to develop skills in operating tractors and machinery in a safe and productive manner," said agriculture education instructor Ronnie Stephens. In addition to a driving test, Blankenship takes a written exam and an oral problem-solving exam on safety, servicing and operation.
