Police: Man threatened woman with scissors

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office arrested a Rome man Monday on charges he threatened to kill a woman while pointing a pair of scissors at her.

According to warrants and jail records:

On Dec. 28 authorities say Johnny Williams Jr., of 226 Pennington Ave., threatened to kill a woman he lives with while holding a pair of scissors in her direction. He also physically assaulted the woman, causing a cut to her lip and other minor injuries.

The victim told police she was afraid to stay in the residence with Williams, who was charged with two counts of misdemeanors simple battery and one count of felony terroristic threats and acts. He remained in jail Tuesday.
