Myrtle E. Morrison Hicks celebrated her birthday on Oct. 17. She turned 100. Her children are Bertie Rhinehart, Christine Harmon of Ringgold, Daniel Hicks, Benny Hicks of Whitwell, Tenn., the late Albert , the late John Thomas and the late Jim Otis Hicks. She is the wife of the late John W. Hicks and was born in Warrior, Ala. She moved to Whitwell, Tenn., at the age of four and lived there until May 2005. She then came to Ringgold to live with her daughters. They had seven children. She attends Indian Springs Church of God in Ringgold. She loves reading her Bible daily.
