According to LaFayette Police Department:
Priscilla Ann Oliver of Ga. 193 was arrested Oct. 20 as she fled the residence where she stabbed a man that she had an “estranged relationship” with, according to police captain Stacey Meeks.
The situation began as a verbal dispute over a dog and escalated to a physical confrontation at 9:30 p.m. Oliver got a steak knife from the kitchen and stabbed the man once in his back and once in the abdomen.
After the stabbing she called 911, then fled the scene, a residence on Glenn Street in LaFayette.
Oliver was arrested on West Main Street, only a short distance from the residence, because she drove off in a vehicle that had two flat tires, according to Meeks.
“Due to the (condition) of the car she was traveling at a low rate of speed. Officers were able to catch up with her quickly,” Meeks said.
The victim remains in stable condition at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
Oliver has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, plus possession of the knife while committing a crime.
Oliver also had an outstanding warrant that had been issued following an arrest for passing bad checks.
