The victim told police that he arrived home to find one of his windows open along with a broken screen.
He stated that he had left his wedding ring on his night stand in his bedroom before leaving the residence, and that it was gone when he returned.
The next day he noticed a different window open with a likewise broken screen.
It was later learned that his storage building had also been broken into.
In addition to the wedding ring, two Xbox 360 game consoles, a weed trimmer, a DVD player, and several prescription drugs were reported missing as a result of the break-in.
25 Ambien pills, 30 Amloditine pills, and 11 Valium pills were among the drugs taken.
The case was turned over to detective Ronald Roach.
• Between 7:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on East Stateline Road in Rossville resulting in the theft of more than $5,000 worth of electronics and office equipment from the home.
The victim told police that she arrived at the residence with her son, who went into the home first through the garage door, and stated that the family's television was missing from the living room.
She said she then stopped unloading their vehicle and looked around the house, before quickly retreating back to the vehicle and calling 911.
A scan of the home revealed that the front door of the residence was heavily damaged and that numerous items had been stolen.
Two flat screen televisions, three video game consoles, numerous video games, a laptop computer, and multiple video games were among the items stolen during the incident.
The family was unable to provide serial numbers for the missing items at the time of the report.
The case was turned over to detective Daniel Thacker.
