The Gordon Lee Middle School baseball team began its quest for another North Georgia Athletic Conference championship with an 11-1 win at Chattanooga Valley in their league opener on Thursday.

Ethan Clark got the win, pitching four innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts. Brandon Gipson struck out five in two innings of work while allowing just one hit, and Kobie Cowan gave up one hit and struck out one as he worked the seventh inning in relief.

Gipson and Cowan each had two hits for the Trojans (2-0).

Micah Genter took the loss for the Eagles. Will Hodges was 1 for 2 at the plate.

Gordon Lee will host Trion this afternoon.
